How LanguageWire Platform empowered Insight’s team with centralised localisation workflows and superior content quality

We took a chat with Insight’s Digital Manager for EMEA, Brendan Walker, to discuss the company’s decision to work with LanguageWire and provide a smarter way of localising content for their own team of in-country experts.







The Challenge

Initially, Insight handled content translation internally by in-country experts across the EMEA region. This approach placed a significant workload on them, leading to challenges such as insufficient communication, longer response times, pushed deadlines, inconsistent quality, and higher costs.

Before partnering with LanguageWire, Insight worked with a different service provider but sought a more advanced solution to streamline and enhance its content localisation process. Faced with the challenge of translating large volumes of content into six languages, the company needed a reliable solution to deliver high-quality multilingual content on time and facilitate seamless collaboration across the EMEA region.

The Solution

Insight recognised a need to streamline its localisation processes whilst maintaining a strong focus on quality and timely delivery.

The solution was to bring Insight's own team of in-country experts into the centralised LanguageWire Platform system. This solution allowed team members to collaborate with ease, translate content at scale, and improve consistency, productivity and quality.

Leveraging machine translation supported by up-to-date translation memory and company-specific term base, Insight has ensured consistent content quality in all languages.

Brendan Walker, Digital Manager for EMEA, highlights that the high-quality machine translation has significantly reduced the need for manual editing and accelerated content delivery. This efficiency means the content is ready to go live sooner, and teams feel more confident translating material in greater volumes.

“One of the biggest things LanguageWire has helped us with is translating at scale and being able to publish a lot more localised content. We can now comfortably translate content for a campaign in just a few days”, says Walker.

Walker explains that before using the Platform, the volume of emails, phone calls and overdue projects was immense. With the LanguageWire Platform, teams have been able to cut emails out of the translation process, ensuring smoother collaboration:

"One of the major benefits that I've seen is that the system sends out reminders and notifies team members to collect or work on a project, which has helped stop the back and forth and having to chase people around. Now changes can be made so much more seamlessly."

The Results

Since moving to LanguageWire, Insight has seen a difference in streamlined workflows, productivity and content quality. Walker says he has received great feedback from various regions, and teams are very happy with the quality of the machine translation output:

Walker also highlights that productivity has significantly increased, with the LanguageWire Platform saving not just days, but weeks of time for multiple team members, as required changes can be made quickly. The system has helped map out the content creation process from translation to desktop publishing (DTP) – and enabled faster content deployment.
